About Me
I completed my Bachelor's (H) chemistry from Delhi University, Delhi. After that, I completed M.Sc. Chemistry from NIT Nagpur, Maharashtra. I joined IISER Bhopal in 2015 and currently working as PhD student in ab initio theory group (AITG).
Research Interest
I am interested in developing atomic-level understanding of the catalysis of reactions
such as water splitting, methane activation, etc. by molecules and solid surfaces.
Understanding the mechanisms of such reactions and the electronic structure of the
intermediates allow us to identify the key factors which dictate the catalytic activity.
I am also interested in modeling various kinds of interfaces occurring in electrochemical
and photoelectrochemical cells to understand how they influence the processes involved
in the oxygen evolution reaction. The overall idea is aimed at designing cost-effective,
earth-abundant and practically efficient catalysts to harness solar energy as well as
environmentally friendly generation of industrially important chemicals.
